Not your Nature

Since I was little, I have always loved nature. The magnificence of the diversity of animals, the smell of plants and trees in a rainforest, the clean (or saddly, sometimes not clean) blue water flowing around my body. I have been obsessed with learning about animals, so I want to share some facts with you guys. I hope you will enjoy!

Animal of the week!
Every week, a new one!

This week, I wanted to tell you about the fluffiest, funniest and popcorn…smelliest?ummm where was I? Oh right… Please welcome, the…….

The Binturong!

The Binturong (scientific name, Arctictis Binturong) is an animal from the family of the genet (viverridae) that is native to southeast and south Asia. It is also called a bearcat! These cute creatures are carnivores, who have a special ‘ability’… to climb trees! Intact, they live most of their time up climbing in the trees, which is why they have a prehensile tale, meaning they can grab branches with their tales, like some monkeys! The fun thing about Binturongs is that… they smell… like… POPCORN 🍿! Their fur smells like popcorn, which in my opinion is so cute! Oh and also, before I forget, IT IS ILLEGAL TO BUY THEM! In 🇱🇦 Laos, some young Binturongs are caged and sold☹️☹️☹️! Please do not do that. Or anything with any other exotic animals! Plz. Plz?

the world of plants is open!

The Elephant grass found in Africa is named so as it is 4.5 meters high and even elephants can hide in it!

Carrots were originally white, yellow and purple! They became orange because of a thanks to the man who helped the dutch independence, William of orange and selective breeding! Oh and also, carrots originated in modern day Iran and Afganistan.

An apple.. is from the same family as a rose! So is a pear, a peach, a strawberry and a quince

some plants can recognize their siblings, competing less with them for water and food if they are around! Awww, they take care of each other! Without moving though!
